Cheonggok Kim Seong-hwan is a leading elder artist in the Korean calligraphy community. Throughout his life, he completed an artistic world that resonates with everyone through unchanging passion and effort.
He has also made great contributions to the development of Korean Calligraphy culture, in addition to his active work in nurturing the next generation of scholars/artists.
Due to his connection with the university—having authored the pedestal inscription for the bronze statue of the Hanyang University Founder, the late Dr. Kim Yeon-jun—Master Kim has generously donated several of his masterpieces to the Museum this time.
In appreciation for his generosity, the Hanyang University Museum has organized this small exhibition.
We sincerely invite you to attend and share in the fragrance of literature and calligraphy that embodies the spirit of Beopgo Changsin (Following the Ancients to Create Anew).
