Artist’s Note
"I travel around Seoul and the metropolitan area, observing buildings.
These spaces have consistently shaped my environment since childhood, forming the landscapes that filled my view.
When I began sculpting, these everyday scenes naturally became the central narratives of my work.
Since then, I have carefully observed and documented not only their interiors and facades but also their construction processes.
By capturing them in images and bringing them to my studio, my sculptural recreations begin.
I draw blueprints, make models, create molds, wrap steel reinforcements, and pour cement.
Just as structures are collectively built throughout the city, I become part of them, filling my studio with their presence.
Through imagination, I walk within these creations as if swimming among them.
From one or two structures to multiple or even dozens of buildings, my works continuously expand."
