Hello! This is Hanyang University Museum 😄
📜 The 13th Hanyang Museum Academy, 2nd Semester, <Recording Through Memory – What Kind of Record Does Your Day Leave?> has completed up to the 4th session.
🏙 In the 3rd session, we welcomed Dr. Si-deok Kim (Urban Archivist) for a walking tour titled <Walking with an Urban Archivist in Seongsu and Wangsimni>. On Thursday, October 17, the tour started at Janghanpyeong Station (Line 5) and continued on foot to Konkuk University Station (Lines 2 and 7).
🔥 Even after the official 4 PM end time, 14 participants continued the walking tour, showing how enthusiastic the response was on-site.
🪦 In the 4th session, we invited Director Ju-yong Kim (National Changwon University Museum) to explore gravestone inscriptions of early Korean immigrants on Hawaii’s Big Island. Through this study, we were able to trace lost family histories and the legacy of the independence movement, seeing gravestones as a form of historical record.
